Ukraine has completed testing of the Barrier-V anti-tank guided missile for combat usage with the Mi-8MSB-V multipurpose helicopter. The State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Armament and Military Equipment announced that the State joint tests of the prototype 524R system as part of the Mi-8MSB-V helicopter had been completed.
During the testing, over 30 RK-2V missiles were launched from a distance of over 6.5 kilometers. Ukraine has completed combat testing with the Mi-8MSB-V multipurpose helicopter of the Barrier-V anti-tank guided missile.
The RK-2V missile, which is part of the 524R guided weapons system, has a tank-type target detection range of up to 10 km and can hit targets at a range of up to 7 km.
