YLIPALKATUT?
Foxsportissa lista heidän mielestään ylipalkatuista:
Toronto Maple Leafs: Signed defensemen Pavel
Kubina (four years, $20 million) and Hal
Gill (three years, $6.3 million).
-Kubina is a decent offensive blueliner but he's done nothing in his career thus far to justify a $5 million per season salary.
-slow-footed Gill, who couldn't even stick with a rebuilding Boston Bruins club, was simply a bad move.
Boston Bruins: Signed defenseman Zdeno
Chara (five years, $37.5 million) and center Marc
Savard (four years, $20 million).
-But he's not in the same class as Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom or Anaheim's Scott Niedermayer and shouldn't be earning around the same money as those two.
- He's good for 60-70 points per season, which is something the Bruins will find out the hard way starting next season. He's also got an injury history that should be cause for concern.
New Jersey Devils: Re-signed forwards Patrik
Elias (seven year, $42 million) and Jamie
Langenbrunner (five year, $14 million).
-The contracts for Elias and Langenbrunner could also impact the Devils salary cap in future seasons, particularly as their skills deteriorate over time
Minnesota Wild: Signed defenseman
Kim Johnsson (four years, $19.4 million).
- Adding Johnsson to bolster the blueline wasn't a bad idea, but paying him $4.85 million per season was.
Nashville Predators: Signed center Jason
Arnott (five years, $22.5 million).
- He's teased with his talent, especially during his days with the New Jersey Devils, but has never blossomed into a great player.
St. Louis Blues: Signed defenseman Jay
McKee (four years, $16 million).
- McKee's a strong, shot-blocking physical defenseman who's also a career plus player, but he's not worth that much money and was overpaid by about a million per

Ihan ok lista. Chara ja Elias ovat kylläkin palkkansa ansainneet.
