Russia and its supporters claim we deserve this horror cause we persecute and even kill ethnic Russians, and destroy their language. I read that as a person who can be considered an "ethnic Russian" and think of all the people like me who died after Russia came to my land.
People in Kyiv around me still speak Russian, which used to be my mother tongue. Now I can't hear it. But for them there's still no connection between the aggressor state and this language.
I think of all those poor fooled people in Donetsk and Luhansk, Crimea, who believed in TV scares of Ru propaganda. They lived okay in those "republics", using both Ru and Ukr passports when they needed. Now Russia sends them to death against their own people.
I still have the Russian language next to Ukrainian in my passport. And Kremlin claims we cancel them. We now do. Only after the full-scale invasion, that happened in the first place because we did not protected our culture, our nation at all from the Kremlin influence
We frequently get blamed of being West's puppet by authoritarian regimes, and I remember 2014 when Nuland and others used Maidan to get some cool "democracy PR" and then left. I remember also reading history. How for Western leaders we were always enigma.
Nobody knew what to do with us. Everybody financed mostly Russia for so long, they could not admit they fed the monster that was supposed to be democratic hegemony controlling all of us in the region.
they also celebrated the USSR collapse, forced us to give our most powerful weapons to Russia under the pretext of "having them all in one place". and them left. Deal on your own guys, build market economy as you understand it.
I am super grateful to them now, for finally giving us good weapons. But they still have a schedule that will allow "not to crash Russia". as if it fell apart, the West will have to deal with "USSR2.o collapse situation." and nobody wants that.
So please, dear Ru supporters, be realistic. stop spreading non-sense. West is our ally, but for the Western leaders we are still a pain in the ass.
The only truth, is that Russia wanted to become am empire and started imperial conquest and genocide of my people. It also put poor EU and other Western countries in a very difficult situation, recession and economic suffering. So no, they do not benefit from helping us.
the only thing that helps is that while we are holding Russia with our lives, they send their old weapons. and by that at least postpone Ru empire spreading farther.
and also aggressor state always messes with your heads, divides your nations before starting the actual invasion. Sounds familiar?
