Growing up and watching the Bruins, who was your favorite tough-guy of them all?
- Definitely ORielly but I also loved Jonathan. I think I liked Orielly so much cause he was a southpaw like myself. Then I favored Neely later on, another lefty. But for those generations its was definatley Orielly, Jonathan, Wensink (with a nod to Wayne Cashman as well, another lefty) then you gotta go with Miller , Byers , Neely for that next generation. I always was excited for Philly games cause you knew Orielly and Shultz were gonna go. Great memories of Wensink challenging the North Stars bench and of course the B's going into the crowd at madison square garden. Late years were always fun when the bruins played the sabers in the playoffs. Neely , Byers , Miller , Curran all on the Ice at the same time matched up with McGuire , Playfair , Ruff you knew there was gonna be trouble.
In your opinion, the most memorable brawl you’ve ever witnessed in Bruins games?
- Jonathan vs Bouchard was definatley the most devastating fight I can recall.
Have you ever played organized hockey when you were a kid?
- Yes I played when I was young a bit but prefered pick up hockey cause I had trouble with the authority of organized sports
After a couple of lame years with “enforcer” like Nazarov, a few years ago you guys obtained PJ Stock, a man with BIG heart and a blue-collar attitude. How often you guys hook up with him after the games etc.?
- We became friendly with some of the players over the last few years . We are at all the games when we are not on tour and they play our music at the games . We were introduced by people from the TV network NESN. Then some of the players started coming to see us play live. PJ is a good man with lots of heart, he brings back alot of memories of the old days when people took
pride in wearing a Bruins jersey.
Is there any chance you might use PJ Stock in some of your future
music-videos?
- Yeah that would be cool , they were out of town when we shot our music videos for this record unfortunatly.
Were you present when they retired O’Reillys sweater?
- Of course. I wouldnt have missed that for the world. The penalty box thing was genius and the bagpipers were awsome as well. The pipers that played that night are friends of mine.
Are all the guys in the band Bruins fans or are you the only hockey
lunatic?
- Most are fans but myself and Matt Kelly (drums) are the only lunatics
