Nothing is accidental when it comes to Russia. If one Kremlin’s mouthpiece is declaring something - you can be sure more voices will echo these statements.
Today’s Kremlin’s directive is clear: “We must rid the Russian scientific community of liberals and Russophobes”.
The following is from an article entitled “About Liberalism and Russophobia of Scientists” by Mikhail Diunov. Diunov basically repeats Olga Zinovieva’s remarks about Russian scientists (see video below):
“The Russian scientific community is sick. It is infected with the virus of liberalism and Russophobia, but recovery cannot happen yet. This is the sad picture that society noticed back in 2022. But why did it happen and what to do?
The origins of such a way of thinking of scientists lie in the Soviet past. Already in the 1970s, employees of numerous research institutes and university teachers, demonstrating loyalty to the course of the Communist Party in words, actually kept their fingers crossed behind their backs.
Doublethink was the norm. The growing crisis and failures in the Soviet economy every year gave rise to contempt for their country.
This was aggravated by the fact that there was no academic freedom in the USSR, there was strict censorship of scientific research, and no books (especially foreign ones) so necessary for scientists were published.
As a result, by the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union, the scientific community was absolutely convinced that everything was bad in Russia (and this has always been the case, and, apparently, nothing will change in the future). Only the West was a role model to imitate for them.
Textbooks for schoolchildren and students, imbued with the spirit of liberalism and Russophobia, were published in Russia.
Private schools were created, which were mainly controlled by liberals. Among the students of universities there was a selection - the best were invited to study for a semester or two at foreign universities.
There they were indoctrinated, and almost everyone came back as a convinced Russophobe. Most of such young scientists saw emigration to the United States or Europe, where they dreamed of taking the place of a teacher, even in the most provincial higher education institutions as the pinnacle of their scientific career.
The Soros Central European University played a significant role in this process. It was there that students from Russia were persistently brainwashed with the ideas of "colonial", "feminist", "gender and queer" research and other politically correct rubbish, which is not as harmless as it seems.
With the help of "colonial studies," for example, they are trying to ruin our state, looking for weaknesses in its national structure. Various doctors of them and quier sciences purposefully destroy Russian society, use minorities as a ram, which should continuously beat the very foundation of Russia.
What should we do in these conditions? First of all, to recognize the very fact of the disease of the scientific environment, with the statement of which this story began. And then methodically and adamantly cleanse the scientific community of liberals and Russophobes.
The most reliable way here will be to analyze their publications and teachings. If a person has repented of his delusions, then repentance must be active, and he is obliged to prove that he is a real patriot.
It is worth raising the issue of the need for all scientists to sign something like an "act of loyalty" in which everyone will have to publicly attest to their political position or give up their position.
Finally, it is required that the system of state support for science be in the hands of patriots. So that there will no longer be a situation where funding is distributed by a narrow group of people whose true homeland is across the ocean or on the warm shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
