- Two students and two teachers were killed in a mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, according to Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey. Nine people were hospitalized, the bureau said.
- The suspect, a 14-year-old student at Apalachee, will be charged with murder and will be handled as an adult as he moves through the criminal justice system, authorities said.
