Lisätäänpäs Edmonton Journalin pelaaja-arvioita muutama (heikkoa on):
#19 Patrick Maroon, 2. Playing by far his worst hockey as an Oiler just at a time the club is looking to pump his value in a deal. Even the sight of his old whipping boys, the Bruins, couldn’t snap him out of it. Played 16½ minutes at evens with Edmonton’s best player during which time the Oilers got destroyed in every shot metric, including 12-4 beatdown on the shot clock and a 13-2 disadvantage in scoring chances as per Natural Stat Trick’s definition. In the Cult of Hockey‘s, Maroon chipped in on just 1 Oilers chance, 5 against — a terrible number for a winger — including being slow on the backcheck on the game winner with one minute to play in regulation.
#91 Drake Caggiula, 3. The match-up between McDavid and Bergeron was central to this game, but an unfair fight in that Bergeron had two wonderful wingers in Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, whereas McDavid had Maroon sleepwalking on one side and young Caggiula masquerading as a first-liner on the other.
#97 Connor McDavid, 4. In 7 minutes head-to-head against Bergeron, McDavid’s group mustered just 2 shot attempts for, 17 against. On those rare occasions Edmonton had the puck, McDavid mustered a couple of scoring chances mostly on his own. All 3 forwards on his line got caught behind all 3 Bruins’ attackers leaving 2 Oilers defenders isolated and out-numbered down low on what became the game-losing goal-against.
#98 Jesse Puljujarvi, 4. His official stats of 1 shot attempt (that missed the net) and 1 giveaway were underwhelming. 0 shots, 0 hits, itself an underwhelming combination for a big winger. Did chip in peripherally on a couple of Oilers chances, had some OK moments in the flow of play, but didn’t have a large impact either way.
