Shawn Thornton, who suffered a concussion in last Thursday's game in a fight with the Buffalo Sabres' John Scott, skated with strength coach John Whitesides prior to today's practice at Ristuccia Arena and coach Claude Julien said he was doing well. Though he didn't rule him out for Wednesday's game in Montreal, Julien termed him "very doubtful."
Daniel Paille, who missed Saturday's game after taking a high stick in the Buffalo game, practiced with the team, though he didn't take part in the 3-on-3 battle drills. He hasn't yet been cleared to pay, though Julien didn't rule him out.
After crashing into the end boards on Saturday night and suffering some sort of upper body injury, Brad Marchand did not skate today but Julien said he was "progressing very well."
David Krejci was given a "maintenance" day for the second time in as many weeks. He was given last Friday off as well.
