Now Moscow is waging open genocide. Residential buildings, hospitals and schools are being targeted by rockets. Ukrainian children are confiscated from the occupied territories and sent deep into the RF [ie, Russian Federation] to be melted down, for a forced change of identity, to become Russians. Obedient Mankurts [slang term meaning "unthinking slave", especially non-ethnic-Russians that lost their ethnic identity], from whose memory their origin, homeland and belonging to the Ukrainian nation were erased.
It is incorrect to compare tragedies where more were killed and where less. But the tragedy of Bucha is an episode comparable to the chronicle of war crimes of the Nazis and their colleagues-antipodes, the NKVD officers, during the Second World War. Mass shootings, massacres, executions. All repeats. Hitler built the imperial Third Reich, Putin is building imperial Russia. Hitler faked the attack on the Gleiwitz radio station to invade Poland, Putin came up with the “oppression” of the Russian language and the need to protect Russian speakers to invade Ukraine. And so on and so forth.
Truly, as US Senator Huey Long predicted: the fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists. The good news is that Putin and his Reich will end up just like Hitler. ☠️ But it won’t happen by itself.
