Hasekin debyytissä tuli tappio Rangersille 3-5. Alivoima toimi surkeasti Maltbyn ja Draperin huilatessa, Rangers iski neljästi ylivoimalla. Tilastoja en löytänyt mistään.
Boston kaatui sitten viime yönä

Kommentteja amerikan maalta:
"- The Wings *really* had the transition game working.
- It wasn't so much the Wings were that good as it was Boston stunk up the joint. They were horrible defensively and you really couldn't fault Potvin out there. He was getting absolutely shelled out there via screens, great passing, and back-door cuts by the Wings' forwards (Holmstrom, Mowers).
- Bruins simply got caught standing still a lot (which resulted in a ton of penalties, too).
- HUGE, monstrous improvement on special teams. The PP unit was moving the puck well (there were at least 5 different combos on the ice) and the PK unit, despite some scares of pucks flying through the slot, was solid.
- Hasek was never really tested. He *maybe* had to work for 1 or 2 saves -- that's it. He looked much better than Saturday, though.
- Zetterberg probably led *at least* a half-dozen rushes up the ice, but couldn't finish. He did manage to pick up a few nice assists, though.
- Prettiest goal of the night? Holmstrom's 2nd. If anyone remember's Holmstrom's playoff goal on Grant Fuhr from a few years ago, this was almost a carbon-copy yet he kept it on the ice.
- Hudler looked good. Was a water bug out there, reminded me a lot of Samsonov.
- Kronwall looked solid here and there, but really didn't stick out. He had a nice hit in the 2nd period and made a beauty of a pass to Mowers for the Wings' 7th (I think) goal that sent Potvin to the bench.
Description of goals:
1 - Shanahan: Screened shot from the base of the left faceoff circle that went top corner, far side. Potvin never saw it. (Classic Shanahan.)
2 - Holmstrom: Rebound of a half-fanned Zetterberg shot that Potvin turned aside. Holmstrom was at the right side of the crease to clean up the garbage.
3 - Hudler: Nice tic-tac-toe between the circles. No chance for Potvin.
4 - Fischer: HUGE rebound on a shot from the right circle that bounced out hard into the middle of the left circle, where Fischer was charging in. He just wound up and blasted it into the gaping net (Potvin was still prone on the other side.)
5 - Yzerman: Steve was cameped at the left side of the Boston crease, and after a crashing Derian Hatcher's shot deflected off Potvin's pad, it skidded to the left side of the goalline were Yzerman was for the slam-dunk.
6 - Maltby: Deflected point shot just below the waist. Kirk was standing at the top of the goal crease off to the right side. Screened Potvin.
7 - Mowers: Tic-tac-toe. Kronwall was parked in the right faceoff circle and feathered a hard pass down across the slot for a slam-dunk goal for Mowers at the goal crease. G'Night Potvin.
8 - Holmstrom: Right at the top of the goal crease, Zetterberg dekes Raycroft down at the left side of the goal mouth and then feathers a pass over to Holmstrom at the top of the crease. Homer dekes all the way around Raycroft to slid it into the net.
9 - Schneider: Absolute rifle from the blueline. Was rising and pegged the top corner of the net (well, almost). Raycroft screened, never saw it. "
