Eräs jatkoaikalainen on taas kerran astunut avioliiton auvoiseen satamaan, mutta mutta loppuuko seleikki lyhyeen , vai saako irtaimista pöydistä riivittyjen sanojen pohjalta rakennettu runo armaan takas? Kas? Kuinka vastaa herra...

Ei varsinainen rakkauslaulu sanan kaikessa merkityksessä, mutta mielestäni Sonata Arctican Last Drop Falls- kappeleen sanoitukset tekevät siitä voimakkaan ja erittäin hyvä laulun. Ja rakkaudesta siinä kuitenkin puhutaan.

Samalta bändiltä myös jo ainakin kertaalleen mainittu Tallulah on vaikuttava.

Pois siirappi mieliä pilaamasta , pois tiukasti tuotetut aina-varmat-stadion-rokkikyhäelmät , nyt tulee Iron Butterfly ja In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida .
Wanhan ajan hippien tekemä täyteen 17 minuuttiin kiteytyvä muutama perusriffi mausteilla jostakin hyvin hämärästä ja muutenkin huuruiselta ajanjaksolta jota myös 70-luvun aluksi on kutsuttu .
Mitä muuten tarkoittaa tuo in-a-gadda-da-vida ihan todellisuudessa ?

Tämähän on hippihuuruinen väännös sanoista 'In the Garden of Eden'. Iki-ihana tunnelmapala samoilta ajoilta on myös Doorsien 'Light my Fire' . Myöhemmin kuultu Morrisonin uudelleensanoitus, 'Bite my Wire', ei tavoita ihan samoja tunnetiloja :)

Just! Todella upea biisi, ja on hienoa, että joku muukin on sen bongannut.
Vetää mielestäni Zepin tuotannossa ihan vaivatta vertoja puhkikalutulle Stairway To Heavenille - joka, totta kai, on loistava kappale - mutta liika on liikaa sitäkin.

Absoluuttinen nollapiste: Yli 1000 erilaista kasvia
- ei välttämättä suoranainen rakkauslaulu, mutta jo ihastus voi olla vakava asia

Tähän näkemykseen minä yhdyn, sillä Yli 1000 erilaista kasvia oli erään aikakauden merkittävimpiä ralleja minulle.

Jos puhutaan varsinaisista rakkauslauluista, Sueden The Wild Ones on kolahtanut ehkä koviten kaikista koskaan. Vastaavaan ei ole kovinkaan moni kuuntelemani yhtye kyennyt.

Periaatteessa muunkin britpop-perinteet rallit ovat iskeneet, minkä vuoksi myös usea irlantilaisyhtye JJ72:n kappaleista saa maininnan. Nyt mainitsen hätäisesti Oxygenin.
