Bad …
… Bad Boy.
Hello Finland !
Earlier this day I watched a video, wich I got from a friend from Italy, recorded with the heavy rock band Nazareth recorded back in 1973. And that video clip was probably the heaviest videoclip I’ve ever watched in my thirty years or so as a follower of hard rock.
When Nazareth played the songs “Bad Bad Boy and “Vigilant Man” I was about to flip over.
I almost did flip over when Kärpät, which was broadcasted here in Sweden on Viasat 1, played one helluva game against the, maybe the best icehockey team in the world outside NHL, Dynamo Moscow.
This team ( Kärpät ) was a hard one to chew on for Russians. I did even see a Kärpät fan with the old CCCP red shirt on – whatever he meant whit that ?
Oh, well Kärpät gave Dynamo Moscow one helluva ride, but their first line fronted by Sushinski was a little bit to hard to chew on.
I’m impressed with Kärpät’s second line fronted by Kalle Sahlstedt – he was a killer again.
Ujcik and Pesonen must made him a new man in one season – when Kalle “Killer” Sahlstedt played his last season over here in Jönköping ( HV 71 ) he made no one happy.
But NHL was over here ( in Sweden ) and Kalle Sahlstedt is a little big man.
Kari Jalonen, the Kärpäts coach with the broken nose, got the best out of his team. Until the bitter end.
A nice one for Finnish hockey – in spite of the loss.
Finland are among the best in Europe ( and maybe in the world ) – that’s for sure.
Kärpäts black-yellow-white fan following is worth a mention to. A nice one Uleåborg. Even though Oulu is a city wish only holds about 120.000 people or so, they outplayed for an example Swedens next largest big city Göteborg ( 700.000 people ) big time. A nice one Kärpät fans !
A rocket to Russia ... almost.
Maybe next time.
