Foote cleared to play

Denver (AP) – Defenseman Adam Foote, who has missed 35 games with a separated shoulder, is expected to return Wednesday when the Colorado Avalanche play at Edmonton.
The team received mixed news on defenseman Rob Blake and center Stephane Yelle, both troubled with knee injuries.
“Blake is on schedule and is going to make the trip with us,” coach Bob Hartley said. “It's too early to give a date for his return.
