Tämän mukaan Ruudun agentti olisi hylännyt Chigagon tarjouksen varattujen pelaajien training campista.

(Jun 29) - tsn.ca - The Chicago Blackhawks began their prospects camp on Friday and 2001 first round draft pick Tuomo Ruutu was nowhere to be found. The official reason for his absence is a military commitment in his native Finland but Hawks general manager Mike Smith begs to differ.
The 19-year-old centreman has no plans to attend the camp, which runs for a week and, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, Smith is not happy with his decision.
"His agent rejected our offer without talking to the player. I don't think [Ruutu] had a say in it," Smith told the Chicago newspaper. "It sounded like he may be in military service, but he's mainly not here because of his contract situation.
The stumbling block appears to be a $3 million signing bonus the club will not offer the young prospect.
"I don't give out individual bonuses," Smith explained to the Sun-Times. "This is a team sport, and all players share equally in bonuses. Agents told me I had to change, but I won't. I won't move one dollar."
Ruutu was selected ninth overall by the Blackhawks in 2001 and played for Jokerit of the Finnish Elite League last season, where he scored seven goals and 23 points. He also helped Finland win the Under-20 Summer Challenge in Lake Placid.
