Tänään pitäisi vihdoin tapahtua tai viimeistään huomenna tiistaina:

<BR>Look for the Toronto Maple Leafs to come back with another offer for Eric Lindros this week.
<BR>After offering left winger Sergei Berezin and a first-round draft choice for Lindros and being ridiculed by Philadelphia Flyers GM Bobby Clarke for that offer this past week, sources say Maple Leafs management immediately went back to the drawing room and reportedly will finally give in this week and offer to the Flyers center Nik Antropov and either Berezin or defenseman Danny Markov.
<BR>The reason for Toronto\'s overtime meetings? Clarke was sniffing around hoping to trade Lindros to the Los Angeles Kings for defenseman Rob Blake.
<BR>Clarke reportedly had a lot of interest in return from Kings GM Dave Taylor on that deal. The big hangup, of course, is that Lindros refuses to play anywhere but Toronto.
<BR>We told you the trading logjam would probably break once the Coyotes were sold to Gretzky and Steve Ellman.

Oma mielipiteeni olisi laittaa Lindros pelikieltoon koska uhkaa istua sivussa ellei saa pelata Torontossa. Tämä saattaa olla ennakkotapaus jonka seurauksena lukuisat pelaajat tekevät samoin. Palkan takia oman joukkueen kanssa riitely on ihan tavallista mutta ei sekään suotavaa mutta tämä \"en pelaa kuin siellä\"-itkeminen on säälittävää.

No, eihän tämä ole ensimmäinen kerta Erkin uralla kun tällaista itkeskelyä tapahtuu.

Minusta Clarke ja muut GM:t saisivat pitää Lindrosin sivussa NHL:stä seuraavat kolme kautta eli siihen asti kun miehestä tulee UFA.

<BR>Pelatkoon IHL:ssä tai Europpassa tai Aasiassa tai vaikka Marsissa, jollei ole valmis noudattamaan NHL-tapoja.
<BR>
<BR>Toivottovasti Losin GM Taylor ei mene tekemään noin umpityhmää kauppaa: Lindros - Blake. Siinä pakko olla liikkeessä muitakin pelaajia.

<BR>TSN, a Canadian television sports network, reported last night on its Web site that a deal had been reached and that the remaining problem concerned a contract for Lindros. TSN said the Leafs had agreed to give the Flyers defenseman Danny Markov and center Nik Antropov, plus a first-round draft pick.

<BR>Holmgren denied that any deal had been completed and that the Leafs had given the Flyers a new offer over the weekend.
