Selanne Possible Saturday
It won\'t be official until Sharks Coach Darryl Sutter puts his name on the lineup sheet, but it appears that Teemu Selanne will play for San Jose tomorrow.

\"It\'s good,\" said Selanne. \"We\'ll make the final decision after warm-ups, but I feel pretty good. If it\'s better tomorrow I\'m going to play. If it\'s not, we still have to be smart with this.\"

Although he may not be going fuel throttle after more than a week off, the Finnish Flash will only play if the knee is healthy.

\"I accelerated better,\" said Selanne. \"Right now, every day is huge. I\'m getting closer and closer.\"

What might be more surprising than Selanne returning early is who he will be playing with. Most fans and media envision Selanne playing the opposite wing with Sharks Captain Owen Nolan and forming one of the NHL\'s top finishing lines.

Nolan will be there, but so could Niklas Sundstrom. The three skated together Friday afternoon. Sundstrom has played on the wing all season and ever since he arrived in San Jose. However he played the middle his rookie campaign in New York and grew up a center in Sweden.

\"I\'ll just kind of pass it out to either side,\" said Sundstrom. \"It makes things a little easier with those two.\"

Sutter is forced to move at least one winger to the middle as Vincent Damphousse is still injured and Patrick Marleau is in Canada at his grandmother\'s funeral.
Eli silleen, toivottavasti ei nyt sitten kuitenkaan liian aikaisin...
