Jonkulainen englanninkielinen raapustus, siinä kiitokset tästä kaudesta, kun pelasitte Jypin paidassa NHL-lakon aikana tai muuta vastaavaa.

Heistä oli iso apu, runkosarjan 8 sija on osittain heidän ansiota, etenkin Westcotin loppukausi oli huikea. Eikä play-offeissakaan ollut tylsää ;)

During this season you were one of the best players I have seen in Jyväskylä since 1990, and best defender in 10 years. First half wasn't so good, but the second was amazing. There's no player who can replace your position in the team.

All the JYP-fans will really miss you both!!! You are always Welcome to Jyväskylä and JYP. I'll never forget you.

And of course I want also thank Steve Martins for playing here. After many years playing in third/fourth line it can be difficult instantly score as many points as we first expected. But even you didn't get too much points, you always played from you heart, giving 110% and more on the ice, and I really enjoyed wathing you in our team. Every young player should should take you as a rolemodel and learn the meaning playing for the team.

You guys really were the heart of JYP's great combat spirit this year! I mean, you really pumped up the whole team to do their best, by being magnificent archetypes for them. Thanks for this year, for me, it is full of great memories, as the bad ones aren't so bad as the good ones are good.

I wish NHL would begin next year, because you really showed us, that this league is out of your league;) By your skills, you guys truly belong to the best possible league.

Duvie, you really were tough one. It was great to see you not giving up on any situation, showing everyone that they'd better not mess with you

Jody, for the (too) short time you spent here, I am certainly pleased from your efforts in the team. You showed all the skeptics that an enforcer can also be good player.

It's difficult to find the right words to describe my feelings, but I'll give it a shot.
You guys truly showed us why you are playing in NHL. You both contributed something to team that I've never seen in JYP before. Hell my favourite NHL team is Columbus after this season, all because of you guys :)

Duvie you are the best defender I've seen playing in JYP. Too bad your season ended to the Wussie-Puistola incident, you were truly needed on the ice. Best of luck to you and I hope your first NHL goal will come soon :)

Jody at first I thought you can't play at all, but you truly proved me wrong. Your CLEAN and HARD tackles were like candy to me. I hope you improved as a player, that's what you wanted. Right?
Best of luck to you too Jody, you sure as hell deserve all the good luck there is.

I thanked you personally after the final game but I have too it here too. You both were really important players for JYP during this season.

Duvie, you were the best d-man that has ever played for JYP. I hope you enjoyed playing in here. I'll be sure to follow your progress where ever you will play.

Jody, you didn't play here long but you really showed what hockey is as it's best. Off the ice you are one of the nicest persons I have ever met. The JYP Fan Club gave you both something to remember us by, a funny t-shirt with a finnish text. That was our gift to you but you did something unthinkable and gave us a gift back. I salute you.

I hope you two can someday lift up the Stanley Cup. All the best from all of us.

Let's not forget about Steve Martins who did hard work in every game he played in. Despite he lacks the size, he bodychecked like a big hockey player. He's an awesome skater and great shorthanded player. Thanks for the hard work, Steve. It was honor having you in our team.

Thank you Duvie and Jody for making the whole team play better, work better and look better.

Duvie, I am really impressed, through hard work after the christmas you came out as one of the best defenders in the whole league, maybe even the best. Loved to see you play and lead the defence.

Jody, I had heard a lot about you before you came to Jyväskylä. Too bad you didn't get that goal you wanted to score. But especially during the play-offs, you were the king on the ice.

I'd be happy to see you playing in Jyp in the future, but I know how much you want to play in a better league, where clean bodychecks are not penalized and so on. I hope you enjoyed your visit at least half of the amount I did.

Oh and Steve too, thanks for the season, the good attitude and good performances. You weren't a disappointment, even if your points came out a little lower than expected before season.

Thanks you NHL guys Steve, Jody& Duvie for different season as usual as we have used here Finland.. NHL lockout was very good for sm-liiga and the interest to watching it is huge on this season.

It was quite good season for JYP and of course as you. Start was hard to you, but you all show your skills and specially attitude of sports to play bigger ice, much different playing system and aginst finnish teams . Hopefully you enjoy here and our finnish culture. Yesterday was probably you last game on team JYP for many years, NHL will maybe begins next fall.

You are all tough guys and good luck for future in NHL. We'll be miss you! Hopefully we'll see you again some day in JYP..

Duvie. It's not hard to understand, why you're playing 20+ minutes per NHL game. Awesome skating, toughness and scoring abilities - everything I'd hope. Especially your will to overcome the problems you had settling to Finland is respectable. No baby cries not having luxury around you. Even in Finland players are training pretty hard, you managed to settle in. Somebody said it well, giving up isn't a solution, it's a weakness. After scoring an unbelievable SH goal against Kärpät, I posed a question: Du vie deserve a player like this...

Jody. Guy, who lifted an unknown JYP to a respectable hockey team. It's great you wanted to be more than an enforcer, like you said. But anyway we're delighted you kicked up some opponent asses. Feel sorry Finnish judgement is so sissy. But you gave us a sight how much one guy can mean to the club. Every guy grew many inches after you came, you gave them balls they'd lost. And in opposite: opponents needed diapers, when someone even whispered "Jody" - it was wonderful to have a guy like you playing for us.

Steve. Guy who skates like a madman. Proved us, that size doesn't always matter - even we're talking about a size of stick...SH specialist, the best in Finland in that role. Attitude, maximum. Never giving up. Not a guy mentioned after even a good game, doing tough job. Spring showed why you've played for a long time in NHL. Next season in Finland, and you'd be even better player. Hopefully we see you playing with JYP from now on...
