<BR>Puck Control Relay -
<BR>In this event, the players demonstrated versatility in stick handling during the two races that made up the event. The first race was a relay with three players from each team. The second race was between one representative from each team. Players were required to carry the puck through a pylon course. One \"goal\" was awarded to the winning squad of each race.
<BR>
<BR>This event started off in Super fashion as hometowners Peter Forsberg of the World and Joe Sakic of North America skated to a dead heat in one of the first pairings. The North America team won the group heat and took the individual as well when Paul Kariya beat Alexei Kovalev.
<BR>
<BR>Fastest Skater --
<BR>This speed event consisted of six individual races in which a player from each team completed one rotation around the rink beginning and ending at the center red line. One \"goal\" was awarded to the team that had the lowest average time, and another \"goal\" went to the squad with the fastest skater.
<BR>
<BR>The North America squad swept this event also as Bill Guerin logged the fastest time of 13.690 and the team had an average time of 13.896.
<BR>
<BR>Hardest Shot --
<BR> Four players from each team fired a puck into the goal. Each player received two shots and the faster of the two, which was measured in miles-per-hour, was counted. The puck had to enter the goal to be counted. A goal was awarded to the team with the highest average speed and one was awarded to the team with the player with the hardest shot.
<BR>
<BR>The World All-Stars took this event when Tampa Bay\'s Fredrik Modin rocketed a 102.1 mph shot at the net and his team averaged 97.9 mph each shot.

<BR>Shooting Accuracy --
<BR>Three players from each team participated to determine which players shoot with the most precision. Each player had eight attempts to hit four targets, located at each corner of the goal. Two players, one on each side of the goal, alternately passed four pucks to the shooter positioned 25 feet from the goal line. Two goals were awarded: one to the winner\'s squad and another to the team with the most targets hit in the fewest shots.

<BR>The North America squad won the individual portion of the event when Ray Bourque won his eighth Shooting Accuracy title off four hits on six shots. The World All-Stars were the team winners of the event as they nailed 14 targets to North America\'s 10.

<BR>Not only did Sean Burke win the goaltending crown, but he skated home with a brand-new Dodge Stratus.

<BR>In this event three skaters from each All-Star squad faces a netminder from the opposing squad. The lines for the World All-Stars were Milan Hejduk/Zigmund Palffy/Markus Naslund, Peter Forsberg/Radek Bonk/Marian Hossa and Pavel Bure/Mats Sundin/Alexei Kovalev, while the netminders were Nabokov, Roman Cechmanek and Dominik Hasek.

<BR>The lines for the North America All-Stars were Kariya/Doug Weight/Brett Hull, Joe Sakic/Luc Robitaille/Guerin and Mario Lemieux/Theo Fleury/Donald Audette, while the goaltenders were Burke, Martin Brodeur and Patrick Roy.
<BR>
<BR>The North America squad won this event when they potted five goals as compared to the World\'s three. Roy stood on his head in this event when he stopped all three shots fired his way.

<BR>Breakaway Relay -
<BR>This event consisted of three rounds where each goaltender faced six skaters from the opposing team on a breakaway. Each goal scored counted towards the overall scoring for the player\'s squad. All goals counted toward the team\'s total score.

<BR>This event was exciting as it came down to the final round, with each team knotted at 13. Hasek had to be perfect in order to force a tie-breaking round to determine the winning team, but Atlanta\'s Audette and Colorado\'s Ray Bourque beat \"The Dominator\" to seal the victory for team North America.
