<BR>Mogilny withdrew from Sunday\'s NHL All-Star Game in Colorado with what the Devils called a hip flexor injury, something Mogilny never publicly complained about.

<BR>The Devils did not practice yesterday and did not make Mogilny available for questions. A message left for Mogilny with the Devils public relations department was not returned. A Devils spokesman said he didn\'t know which hip Mogilny injured.

<BR>Is Mogilny simply ducking the game? That\'s possible, based on his less-than-enchanted reaction last week to the notion of playing his fifth All-Star Game: \"The first couple were exciting. After that, it was a waste of time.\"

<BR>But Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said the injury and the team\'s concern were legitimate. \"It\'s just something that\'s come about,\" Lamoriello said. \"It\'s his decision, along with the trainer\'s (Bill Murray), that rest is the best thing for it.

<BR>\"If he doesn\'t go, he gets four or five days rest. It\'s nothing severe, nothing that will keep him out of the lineup. This is just something that will get him back 100 percent healthy.\"

General manager Lou Lamoriello said that Mogilny, on injured reserve with an abdominal muscle strain, is \"making good progress and feeling better.\" The team is still taking a wait-and-see approach to his availability Thursday night.
